Cross Over High Steer Install

Crossover/High-steer Conversion

While I was converting the front axle to 8 lug, I started multi-tasking.  I needed to either buy or build a set of control arms, I needed to start thinking about a better steering system, had a serious crack in the frame to fix  and I needed a lot of help to get these projects completed.
Luckily I worked with for a couple of very cool guys that not only gave me the material to build a custom set of control arms, but actually spent time helping me design and build them.  We built them out of 52100 round steel.  This material is way over kill, but it won't ever break, bend or fail.

Steel Rims & DIY Beadlock Kit

Total Metal Innovations meets Bart Rims

Bart PN 413-5808
The first thing I did when I decided I wanted beadlocks was to research the steel rims and the beadlock kit that I wanted to incorporate. After shopping around for quite some time, I decided to go with a 15" x 8" steel rim made by Bart and sold by Summit.

An important thing to think about is your offset and the width of the rim itself. These both play a major role in the final outcome of the project. To see the rim that I purchased, click here.

2013 Big Meats Run

Disney, Oklahoma

The BMR is an annual event that is the pinnacle of my sport. I've dreamt about going to it for as long as I can remember, but I've never had the means. Donnie and Misty, whom I met at SMORR the month before, offered to give the Blazer a ride to Disney. And just like that, memories were made.

Loaded up and headed towards Disney
